"Smile" Improvisation - Ken Parker Spring Guitar Fest

Ken Parker Guitar Fest Spring 2012
This is an improvisational jam of the wonderful classic song "Smile" which was recorded last year. The world famous guitar maker Ken Parker brought seven of his unique and incredible archtop guitars to New York City and Ken and Jim Krugman invited several of their incredible musician friends to play the guitars. For the fun of it, we set up a couple of cameras and microphones to record this incredible afternoon and evening.

Of the many songs that were played during the jam, we especially loved this improvised version of "Smile." It is sung by Adam Levy (playing "Stella,") with some backup harmony from Doug Wamble (playing "Olive Branch"). The solos are played, first by Doug; followed by Spiros Exaras (playing "Spot"); and then by Marielle de Rocca Serra playing jazz violin, with Eric Siegal backing them all, playing "Mrs. Natural."

To see more about the specific guitars, you can learn all about them at Ken Parker Archtops (http://kenparkerarchtops.com). http://www.adamlevy.com
